Just when working in an over-crowded, under-funded hospital seems to be too much for cardiologist Dr. Hedd, he receives a visit from the scythe-bearing, wise-cracking Death -- a figure who is impossible to get rid of in a field like medicine.
"Dr. Hedd and the Grim Reaper" puts together sound-minded, mild-mannered Dr. Hedd with the free-spirited, ACDC-loving Death in a buddy comedy like no other before it. Understanding that Death doesn't come just to chat, Dr. Hedd realizes the grim reaper is after one of his three severely ill (and severely irksome) patients. Racing against the clock to save a bratty little boy, a mostly-plastic, bleach-blonde woman, and a Lucky-smoking old man, the doctor must learn to keep his head in the midst of the fear and the grim hilarity that is Death.
